Job Description

Our fantasy sports client is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Native iOS) to drive reliable and timely delivery across product and software engineering teams. This role focuses on release management, execution coordination and maintaining clear communication to ensure native iOS and Android projects are shipped on time, with full visibility across the organization on what’s being delivered and when. This is a temporary/contract role and is hybrid (3x per week) in Midtown Manhattan. This is not a remote role. In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams in Product, Engineering and Design to plan releases, manage potential risks and provide regular updates to stakeholders and the wider organization.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage product and engineering releases, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
• Plan, track and oversee initiatives, identifying risks, dependencies and constraints early in the process
• Lead team ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning and retrospectives, ensuring alignment and smooth execution
• Take ownership of release communications, ensuring all timelines, scope changes and updates are clearly communicated to relevant stakeholders
• Provide concise and clear status updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Facilitate planning, sequencing and readiness for product launches, ensuring go-to-market activities are prepared and executed smoothly
• Help teams navigate trade-offs between scope, quality and timing to keep delivery on track
• Maintain transparency in the delivery process, focusing on efficiency and minimizing unnecessary bureaucracy or overhead
• Drive continuous improvements in delivery and release practices to enhance predictability and ensure reliable execution

Required Qualifications:

• Proven track record as a Project Manager, Delivery Manager or Program Manager within a software-focused organization
• Experience working in fast-paced environments, with a focus on scaling and executing quickly
• Strong understanding of mobile app development and release processes, including app store submissions and version control
• Demonstrated ability to manage releases, identify potential blockers and communicate effectively across teams
• Comfortable presenting delivery updates and status reports to leadership and large, diverse audiences
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple initiatives at once
• Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity and provide clarity and direction even without explicit guidance

Additional Assets:

• A passion for sports, especially in sports betting or daily fantasy sports
• Experience working on consumer-facing or real-time products
• Background in collaborating with cross-functional teams across various departments
• Familiarity with Agile or Lean delivery methodologies
