Role Overview

As a Solution Architect on our Client Success team, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for architecting complex solutions across software, data, cloud, and AI/ML domains. You will serve as the bridge between business vision and technical execution, collaborating closely with engagement leaders, client stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver  high-impact technology initiatives that drive business outcomes and support account growth.

This role demands deep technical expertise, strong domain knowledge on select industry or business function, a strategic mindset, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. You will define scalable architectures, lead engineering strategy, and guide cross-functional teams through implementation—all while staying hands-on enough to inspire technical credibility.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Engineering Leadership

• Design and drive end-to-end solution architectures that balance business needs, technology capabilities, and long-term maintainability.
• Define reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for software engineering, data pipelines, and cloud platforms.
• Serve as a technical leader across engagements, guiding engineers, architects, and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Make build vs. buy recommendations and evaluate third-party tools and platforms.

Client Engagement & Strategy

• Act as the senior technical advisor to client stakeholders, translating their business objectives into actionable technology roadmaps.
• Partner with engagement leaders to shape scope, define delivery models, and mitigate technical risks while identifying opportunities to expand our value and contribute to account growth.
• Evangelize emerging technologies (e.g., GenAI, cloud-native platforms, AI/ML) and drive adoption based on real business value.
• Educate both client stakeholders and internal engineering teams on the business value behind technology decisions and architectural choices.
• Articulate architectural vision and complex ideas across a range of audiences, from executive stakeholders to hands-on engineers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uncover adjacent business needs, influence follow-on work, and contribute to long-term revenue generation.

Delivery & Execution Excellence

• Provide architectural oversight throughout the delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment with client goals and best practices.
• Conduct design reviews, code assessments, and performance tuning for critical systems.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability are embedded across all implementations.
• Support estimation, resourcing, and planning to ensure technical feasibility and on-time delivery.
• Create and communicate actionable implementation playbooks to position teams for success and long-term sustainability.

Practice Development & Firm Contribution

• Mentor other team members, contributing to a strong engineering culture and talent development.
• Play a leadership role in shaping Elixirr’s technology offerings and go-to-market strategy and growth opportunities within strategic accounts.
• Lead or contribute to internal programs such as community forums, reusable asset creation, innovation labs, and GenAI enablement.
• Champion career development by guiding engineers through ambiguous or high-stakes situations, turning challenges into growth opportunities.
• Lead with a teaching mindset that empowers others to take ownership, experiment, and develop mastery.

Reporting Structure

• On Engagements: Partners with the Client Success Lead or Head and reports to the Partner on the account to ensure cohesive delivery and strategic alignment.
• Career Growth & Mentorship: Supported by a Partner Coach and senior tech leaders for continuous growth, feedback, and advocacy.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data architecture, or cloud-native solution design.
• Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale, high-complexity technology systems.
• Experience working across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and modern DevOps practices.
• Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders up to the C-level.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering with engagement/relationship leaders, product owners, and delivery teams.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, enterprise architecture frameworks, and modern software development lifecycles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading digital transformation initiatives or enterprise modernization programs.
• Depth in AI/ML systems, cloud data platforms, or event-driven architectures.
• Prior consulting experience or similar client-facing technical leadership roles.
• Experience guiding teams in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, or public sector).
