WRNS Studio is seeking a Senior Interior Designer for our San Francisco Studio .

Responsibilities

• Develop project design direction in coordination with leadership
• Understand and formulate design concepts and present to the client
• Direct projects of all sizes and levels of complexity
• Provide design leadership to project team
• Participate in the design control of projects in the design development, construction document, and supervision phases
• Provide direction to junior interior designers
• Integrate design requirements with architecture
• Prepare and develop with the team where required: drawings, models, images, material & mood boards and other documents relating to the design
• Coordinate the internal design team for the project
• Select and coordinate products and finishes for project that meet project sustainability goals
• Provide branding concepts for architectural projects
• Provide design direction for furniture and coordinate with furniture dealers to implement

Requirements

• Minimum 10+ years’ experience
• Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design (BS/BA/BFA/MA/MFA)
• Strong interior design and leadership skills, demonstrating progressive responsibilities in all phases of architecture projects
• Substantial experience in the innovative design of complex, large-scale workplace projects
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, Adobe applications, and Rhino
• Experience in construction phase
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques
• Registered or pursuing registration preferred, LEED AP plus
• Strong planning skills are valuable
• Excellent knowledge of furniture, furniture systems, and interior finishes.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team

Work location

Please note, this position is expected to work on-site. WRNS has found that working together and in-person is essential to our collaboration, communication, continuous learning, productivity and innovation.

At the time of posting this job, the salary range for this position is between $105,000 – $135,000 for candidates with 10-20 years of industry experience, and $135,000 - 165,000 for candidates with 20+ years of industry experience. Our final compensation decisions include a candidate’s experience as well as qualifications, background and education.
