Position: Band 1 Network Engineer / Data Center Technician

Location: New Albany, OH

Duration: Long Term

Experience: 1-2 years



Key Details:

• The technician will be working on rotational three different shifts.
• No multiplier will be applicable for the second and third shifts

Please find the details below for JD:

1. The data centre Technician will be doing :

• mount and install racks.
• patch panels.
• Fiber optic and hardware
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.

1. Installation and troubleshooting of Fiber connections.
2. Good Understanding of :

• terminate simplex & duplex jumper cord
• installation of LC, SC, ST, FC, FDDI, SMA and MPO/MTP connectors, for both multi-mode & single-mode fiber.
• Ticket Management and Closure
• Inventory Management ( Network Devices)

1. The Fiber Technician must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces.
2. The Fiber Technician must be able to see and distinguish different colours, read small print, and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.

Preferred Requirements:

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, rotational shifts to support business operations.
• 1+ years of experience in US geography in a data center environment, with a focus on server hardware, storage systems, and network devices domain.
• Strong technical background in computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
