Title: Jr. Network Engineer

Duration: 3-6 Months

Location: Remote

Rate: $30/hr - $40/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco networking , Firewall management , Juniper routers/switches , and Mist wireless solutions . This role requires deep knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure, security best practices, and cloud-managed network technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure using Cisco routers, switches, and wireless controllers .
• Configure and maintain Firewall systems (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Fortinet, etc.) for secure access and traffic control.
• Deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize Juniper EX/QFX/MX series devices in campus and data center environments.
• Administer and support Mist AI-driven wireless networks , including access point provisioning, network policies, and user analytics.
• Perform network monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Conduct root cause analysis of complex network issues and drive resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network design, upgrades, and security initiatives.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience with Cisco networking (CCNA/CCNP preferred) .
• Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols (STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Firewalls and VPNs.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper Networks hardware and JunOS CLI .
• Experience with Mist AI / Juniper Mist Wi-Fi deployments and cloud dashboards.
• Knowledge of network security, segmentation, and NAC solutions.
• Scripting experience (Python/Shell) is a plus.

Certifications Preferred:

• Cisco CCNA/CCNP
• Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS
• Mist Certification (Optional but a plus)
