Firmware Engineer Overview We are seeking a talented Firmware Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in new product development (NPD). In this role, you will design, develop, and implement embedded firmware solutions from concept through production launch. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, project management, and other cross-functional teams to deliver products that exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating exceptional products, detail-oriented, and committed to thorough documentation. Key Responsibilities + Design, develop, implement, and document embedded firmware and software for new products. + Collaborate with internal and external teams to optimize designs. + Assist in component selection and integration. + Develop and execute test protocols to validate designs against product requirements. + Provide software support for other departments, including sales and technical support. + Apply logical thinking, experience, and proven methodologies to make sound decisions and solve complex problems. Qualifications Must Have: + 2+ years of experience in firmware development. + Extensive C programming experience. + Hands-on experience with communication protocols. Nice to Have: + Hardware design experience. + C++ development experience. + Experience in new product development. + Experience with motors, pumps, sensors, IoT/wireless communication, Bluetooth, USB Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Miramar, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
