Job Summary

Bring flavor and finesse to every plate! As Executive Sous Chef for Levy at Stanford University, you’ll help lead back-of-house operations with creativity, precision, and consistency. You’ll support daily culinary production, uphold Levy’s standards, and help mentor a high-performing kitchen team.

Qualifications:

• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
• 3–5 years of culinary experience in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices
• Proficient in ordering, inventory, and labor control
• Experience with high-volume or event-based foodservice

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead prep and production for daily service and events
• Support with scheduling and staffing
• Uphold recipe consistency, food quality, and presentation standards
• Train and coach kitchen staff to maintain safety and productivity
• Manage inventory levels, waste reduction, and storage procedures
• Collaborate with FOH and event teams to ensure seamless service
