Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A/EMT-P) - Patient Care Specialist

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality direct patient care under the supervision of licensed practitioners
• Perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Assist patients with daily living activities and comfort care
• Provide advanced medical transport services within the hospital setting
• Maintain medical equipment and supply inventory
• Document patient care data and maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Virginia State certification as EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic
• Current AHA BLS-HCP and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in paramedic studies or related field
• National Registry EMT certification
• One year EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic experience
• PALS, PHTLS, BTLS, and Hazmat Awareness certifications
