Cafe Réveille is seeking an experienced Chef Consultant to work directly with ownership on the menu development, kitchen systems, and opening execution for upcoming cafe location .
This is a senior-level consulting engagement — not a full-time kitchen or line cook role.
ScopeDevelop the opening café / brunch menu
Create recipes, prep standards, and costing
Advise on kitchen workflow and BOH efficiency
Lead tastings and support menu rollout
Assist with opening execution and early optimization
Estimated engagement: 6–10 weeks
Flexible schedule with defined milestones
Potential for limited follow-on support post-opening
4+ years as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Culinary Consultant
Strong café / all-day dining experience
Hands-on, operationally minded approach
Comfortable working directly with ownership
SF Bay Area–based or available for on-site work
Hourly or retainer-based consulting
Scope, rate, and structure determined collaboratively
Deliverables and expectations clearly defined up front
