Summary:

The Business Analyst partners with the Business Solutions team, stakeholders, and end users to analyze business processes, define requirements, and support the delivery of effective software solutions. This role also assists with small project coordination tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, define requirements, and document clear specifications for system enhancements.
2. Develop clear, detailed, and high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure consistent, actionable work output for technical teams.
3. Partner with Business Solutions to evaluate software solutions and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
4. Assist with project coordination tasks such as tracking progress, facilitating communication, and maintaining documentation.
5. Configure applications, participate in testing, and help validate that new features meet business needs.
6. Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and escalation when necessary.
7. Develop training materials and deliver user education to ensure smooth adoption of system changes.
8. Maintain effective communication with third-party software vendors regarding business requests and system issues.
9. Prepare clear, concise documentation, including workflows, process maps, and analytical summaries.
10. Provide after-hours support as scheduled.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and propose solutions.
• Flexibility to organize work in environments that are not strictly Agile, using creative approaches to structure tasks and priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong cross-functional relationships.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for requirements tracking and work management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis or a related Business Solutions role.
• Experience with requirements gathering, writing user stories, process documentation, and system testing.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new software applications and workflows.

Physical Requirements:

• Majority of work performed in a standard office or remote environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively through verbal, written, and electronic means.
• Occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds) and basic office equipment operation.
