We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Breakfast Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing breakfast dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, a passion for quality food, and a team-oriented mindset. You’ll play a key role in delivering our signature breakfast menu and supporting our pie-making tradition.
Key Responsibilities :
• Prepare and cook breakfast menu items, including eggs, pancakes, omelets, breakfast platters, and sides, to Gourmet Pie & Cafe’s high standards.
• Assist with pie preparation and baking, ensuring consistency in our signature desserts.
• Operate grill, sauté, and other kitchen stations efficiently during busy breakfast rushes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient needs to the kitchen manager.
• Adhere to portion control, presentation, and quality guidelines for all dishes.
• Assist with prep work and cleaning duties during downtime.
Qualifications :
• 6 +years of experience as a line cook or breakfast cook in a restaurant or cafe setting.
• Proficiency in preparing breakfast dishes (e.g., eggs, pancakes, omelets) and working grill/sauté stations.
• Familiarity with baking or dessert prep (e.g., pies) is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification preferred).
• Team player with excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
