Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a growing national construction company based in Rochester, NY to recruit an Accounting Specialist.

Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the Accounting department’s day-to-day functions. In addition to partnering with the Accounting department, the Accounting Specialist will work closely with the Operations team members on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain precise records of all vendor payments
• Responsible for paying and keeping record of all invoices
• Keep track of all company credit card spending, and reconcile monthly
• Analyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure accuracy
• Work collaboratively with various departments to perform accounting duties
• Prepare and mail all required documents
• Research and approve new vendors and create new vendor accounts
• Work directly with Controller for month end close
• Maintain aging reports weekly
• Compile and assist with submission of 1099’s
• Continuously look for opportunities to generate efficiencies and increase the effectiveness of financial operations

Experience:

• High school diploma required. An Associates is preferred.
• 2-4 years accounting or related experience preferable in accounts payable and receivable.
